So why is it then that while it’s socially acceptable to play games like GTA V and Watch Dogs 2, walking around shooting faux police officers, mums and dads, that it’s so controversial to have explicit nudity or sex in a game? The media is saturated with it and every one of every age is exposed to it. TV and games have depicted violence for decades, all the way up from Tom and Jerry to Season 7, episode 1 or the Red Wedding in Game of Thrones. I don’t get the wired double standard in media vs. Microsoft with the Scorpio I can understand but this just seems to be muddying the water to nobody’s advantage. And apparently a lot of the confusion is due to the fact that DICE aren’t allowed to tell anyone what the PS4 Pro actually does to the game because of an NDA with Microsoft and Sony!
